Yaël - Event Coordinator - Tel Aviv, IsraelThe place I always eat:Abu Hasan. Dolphin street. Jaffa. Best. Hummus. Ever.Every Israeli will tell you about the hummus wars- if you are israeli you are affiliated with a specific hummus place and there’s a friendly rivalry between them all. You can tell a lot about someone by his regular hummus joint… I am an Abu Hassan girl. When I still lived in Israel I used to go every friday afternoon with all my friends to Abu Hassan in Jaffa. A huge part is the routine- bike over there, wait in line, order the hummus from the little window and find a place in the sun nearby to sit and eat. The restaurant is based in old Jaffa right by the sea. It’s perfect in the summer- with sun and ocean breeze.Where to stay for the night:
There are a few cool botique hotels in the city, really tiny ones.. i have never been to any but i heard about one in the most beautiful neighborhood in Tel Avis: NINA Boutique Suites Hotel in Neve Tzedek.

The one place I take everyone:

BEACH. your choice of “drummers beach” where all the yogis and drummers go (drum circle in the sunset every Friday) on the boarder of tel aviv and Jaffa, to “hilton beach“-next to Hilton Hotel: chic crowd and European tourists, or “Gordon and Fishman Beaches”- my personal favorites. Drink goldstar on the beach with some watermelon and feta! good times. Best local product you should try:
Chocolate milk in a bag. Bite off the corner and chug.
The 2nd best kept secret:

A restaurant - Joz ve Loz. The locals know it but you won’t notice it from the street. The food is unreal- highly recommended.
