The place I always eat:Wawa. For the visiting traveler, the morning commuter, or the 3am drunk and hungry - Wawa is the place to go.  Don’t let the convenience store facade fool you. It always has fresh fruit, a hot pot of coffee, and a wide range of foods made to order, all at a reasonable price. Order a build your own hoagie from one of the touch screens.
Where to stay for the night:Penn’s View Inn. With 27 rooms, this quiet boutique hotel evokes what Philadelphia is known for - its history. It’s located right in the historic district and is central enough for quick cab rides to all the good bars and neighborhoods (NoLibs, Fishtown, Old City, Center City, etc).
The one place I take everyone:Behind the Art Museum. Museums are great but they can sometimes be dry and expensive. Take a walk behind the Art Museum and soak in the breathtaking views of the Schuylkill (Skoo-kul) River, Boat House Row, Ben Franklin’s restored waterworks, the rose garden, the gazebos, statues, and the bustle of Philadelphians at play.  Great place to watch the sunset. Bring your camera.
Best local product you should try:Little know fact: Philadelphia has a rich history of brewing. Anything from Yards or Philadelphia Brewing Co. I recommend Brawler, Kenzinger, Walt Wit, or Row House Red. For those who don’t drink beer, try a Bluecoat gin and tonic.
The 2nd best kept secret:South Street stinks. That’s not really a secret. Just don’t fall for all the recommendations that say to go there.
