The place I always eat:

Newton Circus - incredible hawker stall with Hainese Chicken Rice, Murtabak, chili stingray.  Long Beach Seafood - amazing seafood and fried buns!. Samy’s Curry - Fishead curry and all kinds of south indian goodness served family style on banana leafs for plates.

Where to stay for the night:

My parent’s place! They live in an old black and white house built when the British were there with a fabulous garden and spare bedrooms and love to entertain :)  Or Raffles if you have the budget…

The one place I take everyone:

Definitely Newton Circus hawker stall…it’s an experience unmatched anywhere else I’ve been. And open serving food and beer 24 hours!

Best local product you should try:

Go to a market and try the fruit…rambutan, logan, mangostein, durian…new flavors that will blow your mind.

The 2nd best kept secret:

Popiah from this tiny shop on the 2nd floor of Coronation Plaza.  Best popiah in the world.
